Your 3 days Rwanda chimpanzee trekking experiential safari is one of our most magical and most liked safaris as it gives a great encounter of chimpanzees in the land of a thousand hills. The safari will give you a great chance to do a canopy walk and chimpanzee trekking at Nyungwe National Park, as you sum up your safari with us, with a tea plantation visit and boat trip on Lake Kivu. This will be a great rewarding adventure trip.
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Travel time +5 hours
Early morning enjoys your breakfast and checkout of the hotel and drive heading to the western province, on your way visit the Royal Palace Museum, Ethnographic Museum in Huye and later head for an en route lunch. You will proceed with a wonderful drive to Nyungwe national Park and check in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Emeraude Kivu Resort (Standard) or Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel (Mid – range). Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy walk at Nyungwe Forest National Park
Today, after your early morning the breakfast, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates and transferred to the park for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees, which is a very lovely adventure trek, as you explore the park. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch and after lunch, you will head for a canopy walk, on 60 meter suspended metallic bridge which gives you a wonderful scenic view of the forest and return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay. You will later return to your hotel for relaxing. Dinner and overnight stray at Emeraude Kivu Resort (Standard) or Mantis Kivu Marina Bay Hotel (Mid – range). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali via Lake Kivu.
After having a relaxed morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge, and head for a tea plantation visit, in Gisakura tea plantations, learn about tea growing, and later drive back to Kigali, through the Kivu belt, with a great en route view of Lake Kivu. You will stop and head for a 2-hour boat ride on Lake Kivu, which will reward you with a great experience of Lake Kivu. Later, you will drive back to Kigali, with an en route lunch, and be dropped at your hotel in Kigali, or at Kigali airport, for your departure. End of Service. Meal Plan: Breakfast & lunch.
